A ferry ride across the water with blue skies above brought guests from all over the country to Dawn & Luke’s wedding day celebration at Lavender Hill Farm on Vashon Island. Stepping onto the farm the sweet smell of lavender drifted across the lawn, with the sound of two families busily preparing for the wedding, and celebrations beginning with iced lavender cocktails on the big white porch overlooking Mt. Rainier. Dawn & Luke couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful, quaint venue to tie the knot. As family and friends helped make this day one to remember by doing everything from decorating, to centerpieces, to the cake for this special DIY wedding, Dawn was copying her vows to paper and Luke was entertaining guests.

As the ceremony began and Dawn walked down the lavender covered path with her father towards Luke tears were streaming and the excitement was brimming that the moment had arrived. Laughter spilled out among the guests as Luke tried to comfort Dawn with a kiss and she said, “not yet!” After promises were made even their dog Emma joined them in the ceremony to deliver their rings and whined all the way back to her seat, wanting to stay with them and all that love.
