Michaela & Tom – Engaged! | Seattle Pier 57

Michaela & Tom have moved around a bit (like us!) and we’re so glad they moved here. They really make each other happy and are super easy-going, nice people. We need to repeat that last bit again…they are super easy-going. We met at Pier 57 on the Seattle waterfront because they both love boating and being near the water. All of us crossed our fingers for nice weather (a rarity in these parts) and woke up with no rain (huge plus!), but it was Freezing, like see your breath-chattering teeth-30 degrees-and-windy kind of freezing. Luckily the Miner’s Landing was open so we could take a break inside and warm up, but Michaela & Tom were total troopers! They didn’t wear coats and did not complain once. True East Coasters. We absolutely love how fun and playful their photos turned out!

Thanks Michaela & Tom!

Adam Queen - Absolutely beautiful you guys! You’re rocking out these images. The couple looks very happy and in Love! Stay in touch.

Lisa Henry - Great looking couple!

Marissa Ciccarelli - Thanks Adam! You have been a major component in the success of our business. We must get together next time we’re all in Cbus or Cali!

Avery – Sweetness

Last Friday we had a girls day! I (Marissa) was lucky enough to meet Avery for the first time, proud first child of Danielle. The three of us got to spend the morning together finding the best light inside (it was freezing outside) and making Avery happy, swaddled, and full. One of the cool things about Danielle is that she is actually really into photography so we were able to work together and I talked through some of my techniques and settings. We chatted away about equipment and why I was doing what I was doing while photographing Avery. It was super fun working and teaching at the same time! This may have given me a new idea…anyway, we had a blast and totally wore Avery out! She fell asleep as I was walking out the door, completely exhausted. Avery (almost a carbon copy of her mom) truly is sweetness.

I had to put one of these in, loving how squishy babies faces are when they cry!

Until next time sweet Avery!

Chris Hoerbelt - These are GREAT! So beautiful

Lisa Henry - Beautiful baby! Great job!

Norah Geshkewich O'Brien - Sweetness captured.

2012 Ciccarelli Favorites – Couples Edition

We repeat, but tis past year has been crazy! 2012 was right after we decided to start taking our photography and business more seriously. We certainly had our challenges and triumphs, not to mention another move to a different state where we started over, AGAIN (let’s not dwell there, we love Washington!). Anyway, we couldn’t be more thankful to the people who have helped us along the way, other photographers, friends, clients, and family. Looking back on our body of work from this year we see huge changes, in our style, brand, and how we work with our clients, especially as we delved into the beautiful and wild world of weddings, which we absolutely love! We seriously hope that 2013 shows just as much growth. We cannot wait to see what happens this year…

Here are the couples pics from 2012 that made us pause & hold our breath, made us remember those fun-loving-head-over-heels-in-love couples, made us laugh and saw “awwwww,” and overall made us feel something when we looked back at them.

~Erik & Marissa

Jessie LaRosa Ondell - So talented, I love them all! Wish I lived nearer and I would book a session with you two!

Marissa Ciccarelli - Thanks Jessie! We love it. Hope you’re doing well!

New Year, New Resolutions | The Ciccarellis

…is going to be a great year. Isn’t every year? (New year’s resolution to stay positive in action!) Already we’ve had snow, sunshine, seen family & friends, eaten great food, and moved all our possessions up 3 flights of stairs to a new apartment all by ourselves for a boot-camp-meets-stair-climber type of workout one day (staying positive!).

Last year we started setting monthly goals, but we still think it’s a good idea to have a new year resolution (or a few). Being into fitness it is always funny this time of year how packed the gym is and then how it slowly dies back down to normal in a few weeks…if you are one of those people, don’t lose it, stick with it!

Marissa’s New Year Resolutions:

Stay Positive

Journal EVERY week (I even bought a brand-new pink journal)

Eat Paleo (even more strictly than 2012)

Show Love for my Family & Friends as much as possible.

*For more info on the Paleo lifestyle we recommend this book: The Paleo Solution, by Robb Wolf

Erik’s New Year Resolutions:

Write for an hour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s. As Stephen King says, “you only get better at writing if you read more and write more.”

Plan two Vacations this year, each over 7 days long. 7 is too short.

Go out with friends more often. Getting too comfortable bothers me. (Preferably having more dinners out, it’s so relaxing).

We hope you all have a happy 2013!

Lisa Henry - Love u guys!

Dana Packard Webb - I love y’alls work! It’s great! We wish y’all were closer!

Erik Ciccarelli - Thanks Dana, that means a lot. I really hope all is well with you. I also wanted to let you know I’ll be in greensboro for Alumni weekend April 19-21st. I’d love to see you if you’re around.

Erik Ciccarelli - Mom, we love the heck out of you.
