Our fourth session together was the sweetest! We love seeing our families as they change and grow. This adorable family moved to Seattle several years ago with their first baby and we’ve had the honor of documenting them ever since!

The newest addition to the family was perfect in every way. She yawned, slept, and didn’t even make a peep our entire session. Big sister was the opposite, giggling, jumping (when I asked her), and gently holding her sister, already a big helper to mom and dad at such a young age.

Clara & Tanner | Surprise Proposal Golden Gardens

He’d told her they were going to a concert at the beach. The forecast called for rain (it is winter in Seattle after all), but after some deliberation he decided we should just go for it, rain and all…it was going to be perfect.

She suspected nothing as they walked along the empty beach in the rain with their dog. As they reached the water, Tanner bent down to put a special handkerchief around their pup to help with the big ask.

Fennel, the pup, helped by pushing Clara forwards towards Tanner and wrapping them up in his leash (and also tugging like crazy with excitement). Clara was caught completely by surprise and agreed that it was the perfect proposal, rain on their favorite beach with their pup in tow.

Werner Family Year 5 | Golden Gardens

Love capturing our friends and watching their kiddos grow each year, not only with our eyes, but through our lens. This session was seriously cold, but you wouldn’t know it by the smiles and rambunctious, action shots we got!
